Take Point Training marks Armed Forces Day with charity support
Take Point Training showed its support for Armed Forces Day by extending a helping hand to our charity partner.
This year’s national event was held in Falmouth, Cornwall on Saturday 24 June where over 1,000 military personnel, veterans and cadets took part in a tri-service parade. The occasion included fly-pasts from the Red Arrows, Navy Merlin helicopters and an Avenger aircraft.
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show support for the men and women in the defence community. Around 100,000 visitors from all corners of the UK attended the event to witness and participate in the celebrations. Falmouth hosted a packed programme of exciting activities, music concerts and firework displays.
In the centre of the town, staff members from Take Point Training volunteered their time at an event stand hosted by our charity partner, Turn to Starboard. The not-for-profit organisation uses sail training to support Armed Forces personnel affected by military operations.
Briana Pascoe, Deputy Operations Manager at Take Point Training, said: “It was a real honour to represent the company at this year’s Armed Forces Day and a very proud moment to support a charity so close to our hearts.”
